An exceptionally stable and strong working dog, "Alex" is balanced in his drives while remaining very serious in his work. His protection work is fast with full and hard grips. The guarding phases are extreme and intense. Alex's obedience is willing and happy; always quick and correct. Alex is a dominant yet stable dog with an obvious bond to his handler and family.

Pedro and "Alex" have competed at the Schutzhund 3 level over 15 times. Nine of these trials have been at the National Championship Level.   He was the USA National 2006 and 2007 Universal Sieger and has received "V" ratings in conformation multiple times at Regional and National Competition Levels.
