At Hoehenluft we believe the German Shepherd is a versatile working dog capable of being trained to perform a wide variety of tasks. German Shepherds are family pets, police dogs, guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, bomb and drug detection dogs, sheep and cattle herders, hunting companions, guard dogs, obedience champions, avalanche dogs, assistance dogs and show dogs. Regardless of their particular role, a sound German Shepherd Dog, raised and trained well, makes an owner forget that other breeds even exist.
If this is the breed for you and your family, you will never have a better friend.

Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Tacoma, Washington) you will find "Von Den Hoehenluft" kennels. We have a small, very selective German Shepherd Dog breeding and training program. We can provide you with structurally correct, intelligent, genetically healthy and happy German Shepherd dogs and puppies. Not only do our dogs excel as loyal family companions but many contribute by working for their communities (law enforcement; narcotics and bomb detection, search and rescue, therapy dogs, guide dogs) while others work with their owners competing at all levels (Regional, National and International) in Schutzhund, AKC & CKC Obedience Trials, Herding Tests, and Agility Competitions. With over 26 years of experience breeding, raising, training and competing with German Shepherd Dogs, we are dedicated to preserving the strength of character of the working German Shepherd Dog. We have an active training club that meets 3-4 times weekly and visitors are always welcome. We can help you find the German Shepherd you've always dreamed about. With sports friends around the world, we have access to the top working and producing dogs in Germany and Belgium. Whether you decide to raise and train a "Von Den Hoehenluft" puppy or you would like an already trained top quality working dog or family companion, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can help you with your decision.
